J. Scott Ries, MD, FAAFP

- Dr. J. Scott Ries is an award winning family physician in private practice in the Indianapolis, Indiana area, where he also maintains faculty appointments at Indiana University School of Medicine and Butler University. Dr. Ries’ training has included graduating from programs at University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill, Indiana University, Liberty University, and University of South Florida.

No stranger to media, Dr. Ries has served as medical consultant to NBC, CBS, FOX, and ABC network affiliates in both on and off air capacities for over 10 years. His well rounded medical expertise has also been featured in a variety of radio and print interview formats.

As a family health and medical expert, Dr. Ries is a strong advocate for each person’s own involvement in their health care. He encourages patients, whether in the office or in a media broadcast, to take charge of their health with active prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
